Ajara – AER Member Region • Since 2002 Ajara is a member of Assembly of European Regions; • Since 2006 participates an exchange program of AER; • Totally 80 students were participated in an exchange program from Ajara Region, they made 3 month internship in Belgium, France, Spain, German and in Portugal; • And the region host 4 students from France, which made their internship in Batumi, ShotaRustaveli State University as a French language teacher; • Program Budget of AER Internship – by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Ajara A.R were created special targeted program with budget of EUR 22,000 for the 2011-2012 years; • Cooperation – The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Ajara A.R nagotiates with Assembly of European Regions in order to hold a 2012 forum in Ajara, Batumi; Department of Sport and Youth Affairs

Department of Sport and Youth Affairs • Attitude toward youth; • The concept to create the Department of Sport and Youth Affairs (2011 year); • Implementation of Youth Policy; • The Department of Sport and Youth Affairs of Ajara A.R actively start to organize workshops, seminars, trainings and forums regarding various fields of topics for youth mobility; • Cooperation with youth organizations; Department of Sport and Youth Affairs

Department of Sport and Youth Affairs;Youth Programs 2011-2012 • Youth Network Centers – in 6 regions; • Youth forums, workshops, seminars and trainings; • The Role of Youth participation and mobility – forums regarding with different kind of topics; • Youth Creative Events; • Non-formal education and intellectual development for Youth; • Cognitive and Entertainment programs for youth; • Find out Georgia – Trips for youth; • CFR - Club of Fun and Resourceful; • Organize – local and international celebrations (average 50 events annually); Department of Sport and Youth Affairs

  6. Future Priority • Foundation of representative center of Assembly of European Regions in Georgia, Ajara(for Caucasus Area); It is impossible to create strong and successful country without Development of Youth; Department of Sport and Youth Affairs
