  5. Hiker Lab • Read the procedure out loud at your table. • Person GREEN reads first, then clockwise. • Read 4 sentences and then rotate.

  6. Lab Roles Green-Hiker Red-Hold calculator Yellow-Hold motion sensor Blue- Start program Hiker does 2 graphs and then rotate.

  7. Hiker Lab • 25 minutes to complete all 8 graphs • Each lab role 2 times (Hike twice) • Show me correct graph • Every person gets teacher signature at that time • Record instructions about how you made the graph on your lab page.

  8. Think Page 77 Draw a diagram showing what we did in the Hiker lab. A 5th grade family member is having trouble with their distance time graphs. Write down what you would tell them to help them with their homework.

  9. Pair Up and discuss with your shoulder partner…

  10. Independent Practice • 15 minutes • Use your formula chart. • Silently work • Raise your hand if you need help • If you get done, read silently or complete brain teaser puzzle.
