  1. Quality assurance defined What is quality assurance? Quality Assurance is a process developed to ensure that documented quality requirements for the development and delivery of products and services are implemented and maintained to provide evidence and confidence to clients that their requirements are being met.   2. The Importance of Quality Customers demand quality; it’s that simple. Survival in today’s market depends on a company’s ability to meet the needs and expectations of its customers. The key to understanding quality assurance is understanding the emphasis on process.

  3. The eBusiness Quality Management System Quality management systems are about evaluating how and why things are done, writing down how things are done and recording the results to show they were done. When you write down an instruction on how you want something done, you are creating what might be a procedure for a quality management system’s Quality Manual.

  4. General requirements for an ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System The ISO 9001:2000 standard requires a business to have quality management system procedures ( usually stored in a quality manual). Procedures are what people can use to do their job and can be presented in whatever method, style, layout or format that is most suitable for the ebusiness. However the information is presented, it should be adequate to describe how to perform the tasks covered by the procedures

  5. Document control procedure “Any products or components supplied by the client are to be verified, stored and safeguarded in an appropriate manner. The authorised Altech Team Member is responsible for ensuring the verification, identification, management, and security of supplied material. Any loss, damage or unsuitability for use of any Customer Supplied Product is reported to the Sales Manager or the Managing Director, whichever is the most appropriate. It will be their responsibility to rectify the problem and/or advise the Client.”

(Processes used to identify, store, protect, retrieve, retain.) Inspect (AUDIT) your operations to determine their quality? Identify problems with quality (nonconforming product)? Take steps to ensure that quality problems are not repeated? Take steps to prevent potential causes of problems.

BENFITS OF A PROCESS MAP • Documents process and interrelationship of process steps • Identifies actual and ideal paths that any product or process flows • Can identify problems and potential improvements An activity using resources, and managed in order to enable the transformation of inputs into outputs, can be considered as a process. A process map (FLOWCHART) is a graphical representation of the sequence of all operations, movements, inspections, delays, decisions and storage activities of a process.
