  3. She memorized a Sunday School poem in 1874

  4. In 1883, she earned her teaching certificate

  5. She married Almanzo Wilder in 1885

  6. In 1886, her daughter Rose Wilder was born. She named her after her favorite prairie flowers.

  7. In 1889, her second child was born, but he died at twelve months old.

  8. She published a story for the newspaper in 1911.

  9. In 1911, she redesigned her house.

  10. In 1932, she published her first children's book. It was called Little House in the Big Woods.

  11. In 1939, her old house was turned into a museum

  12. Her last book was published in 1943. It was called These Happy Golden Years.

  13. In 1954, they made the Laura Ingalls Wilder Award

  14. On February 10th, 1957, she died

  15. In 1974, they made a television show based on her books called LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE
