  2. WINGS • Bat wings are different from birds. Each wing has a hooked thumb.

  3. FLYING • Their bodies are built for flying.

  4. LEGS • Their short legs help them fly. They also use their legs to hang upside down.

  5. ECOLOCATION • Bats have large ears. Their squeaks hit something and the sound bounces back and tells them what is there.

  6. Fury body • Bats have furry bodies. Fur can be brown or black. Ghost bats have smooth silver fur.

  7. EYES • Bats have good eyesight in the day time.
