  2. Setting the scene – Health in the NT • Covers 1/6 of Australia, 1% of population • 200,000 residents with 2 main and 3 smaller hospital, 50 urban and 70 remote clinics. • 2.4% over 70 years old (9.1% avg in Aus) • 28.8% Aboriginal (2.4% avg in Aus) • 70% of Aboriginal people living remote

  3. The Project • The “Outpatient National Minimum Data Set (NMDS) Data Development Project” • Under the Australian Health Care Agreement requiring provision of outpatients data to the Commonwealth Government.
