  2. ABOUT HHPs Selection: Coordinated with the Boma chiefs to select new HHPs in their respective Boma in consultation with Payam Health Supervisors. Areas of operation: Magwi County: Mugali, Pageri, Nimule, Kerepi, Magwi, Obbo, Loboneand PajokPayams Other Counties: Kapoeta South & East, Torit, Lopa/Lafon Objective: • Have ownership and strong participation in health by the community. • Increase utilization. • Support and equip a network of new HHPs with knowledge and skills on integrated community case management (iCCM), family planning/spacing and Disease Prevention. Conducting community Boma mapping with Boma chiefs to determine the number of households to attach to each HHP. The exercise is still going and will be completed in due course.

  3. FAVOURING CONDITIONS = SIMILAR SET UP AS IN ETHIOPIA • HHP = Community Health Promoters/Health Development Army (At House Hold Levels). • CHWs = Health Extension Workers (At Health Units/Posts) • Clinical Officers, Nurses, Midwives etc. = Same in Ethiopia (At Health Centers)
