The Chief. Written by Sandy Au(3C) Illustrated by Sandy Au(3C). Once upon a time, there was a man called Chi wai. Chi Wai worked on a farm. Every day, he cut the wood with his axe. His neighbours helped him to keep the wood in the kitchen. Chi Wai used the wood to cook his meals.

  2. Once upon a time, there was a man called Chi wai.

  3. Chi Wai worked on a farm. Every day, he cut the wood with his axe.

  4. His neighbours helped him to keep the wood in the kitchen.

  5. Chi Wai used the wood to cook his meals.

  6. Every day before Chi Wai went to bed, he put the axe under his bed.

  7. One morning when Chi Wai got up, he could not see his axe. He was very angry

  8. He asked his neighbour, Tai Ming, To find the axe for him. Chi Wai could not find it.

  9. Next morning, he was still very angry. He went to Tai Ming’s house. He wanted to take the axe back home.

  10. It was lunch time. Chi Wai went home to cook his meal.

  11. When he opened the bucket when he kept rice, he found an axe.

  12. Chi Wai was sorry for what he did. He went to Tai Ming’s house. He said sorry to Tai Ming.
