The Journal of Venomous Animals and Toxins – ISSN 0104-7930 - was launched in March 1995. It was the first Brazilian scientific electronic Journal dedicated to Toxinology. An official publication of The Center for the Study of Venoms and Venomous Animals – CEVAP-UNESP. A biannual publication in English, distributed in 3,5” diskettes to 1,600 researchers from the Brazilian and International Society on Toxinology.

2005 CONCLUSIONS From 1995 to 2003 it was a biannual Journal. In 2004 was published three times a year. From 2005 the Journal will be published four times a year.
2005 CONCLUSIONS The Journal of Venomous Animals and Toxins including Tropical Diseases disseminating the science produced in Brazil and all over the world has been fulfilling its mission as an international journal on Toxinology and Tropical Diseases. In 10 years we have walked a long way. We changed from magnetic media to a definite digital form.
