Question #1:What have you found challenging about math this year?
Question 1 This year, some things have been challenging. For example, memorizing formulas for many of the chapters, wasn’t exactly easy. I also have trouble with the vocab. I am not good at remembering what each word means. Fortunately, it is not that big of a deal, since we are in math class. I am also not good with committing myself to ixl.
Question 2: What have you done to overcome these challenges?
Question 2 To overcome these challenges, I have made flash cards for memorizing formulas. I always forgot about ixl, but now I write it on my whiteboard to remind myself before I go to bed. It has really helped. Now, I feel more accomplished about my grade and my work. It is a really good feeling to know you are doinhg well.
Question 3: What are you most proud of in math this year? Explain why.
Question 3 I am very proud of making it this far. About half of the kids last year, went to 6+. I am grateful to have made it this far. I really enjoy the pace of this class and hope to make it to algebra 1 next year. Mrs. Brown is a great teacher and is helpful when you don’t understand a concept. She has helped me a lot in the past year and a half.
Question 4: What is your personal goal in math for the rest of the school year? Why?
Question 4 My personal goal from now until the end of the year is to make it into algebra 1. I am going to do extra minutes on ixl. I am also going to study for my tests and complete all my hw. I am going to try my best until the end of year. I hope my hard work pays off well..
Question 5: What math activity would you like your parents to try and why?
I want to teach you this so you can see what my first lesson was like. It is fun! I am going to teach you lesson 1.1, variables and expressions. So, get ready to take a quiz when you are finished! Question 5
