Mock Gcse Project • This will be a project that focus’s on preparing you for the folder you will have to complete to go along with your practical project work next year. • The folder is more important that the finished artefact. • It shows all stages of the design + make process from first idea to finished product. • Each section of the folder is important and carries its own marks.

  4. 5 weeks to complete the project The Brief • A company has asked you to design a simple yet innovative ipod/iphone docking/charging station. • It must support the phone in and upright/ horizontal position. • It should appeal to a wide customer base, 12 – 22 • It should be safe to use and assemble.

  5. LO: to learn about ergonomics and anthropometrics • Date: 2/May/14 • Product analysis (Starter) • Beginning our designs(sketching)

  6. Homework • Find 4 stands and analyse them using accessfm

  7. Homework: Draw up two designs for Stand • Must be ready for CAD next week! Must have dimensions on them

  8. 2 initial sketches coloured and annotated • 1 chosen and developed- annotated and materials chosen + know how the product will be made
