Volunteering for special community events or service projects • Animal Shelter • Community Programs • Homeless Shelter • Soup Kitchen • Reading to the elderly or assisting the elderly with household chores (shoveling, raking, etc.) • Volunteering for special church projects • Does not include altar serving • Improving school buildings and grounds (e.g., picking up trash, supervised painting) • Coaching younger children in a sport or other activity • Assisting with Special Olympics • Assisting at a hospital, nursing home, Friendship Club • Working for a political party or campaign • Working with Lomax faculty/staff to complete special projects Acceptable Personal Service Work

Service Hours – • 3 Hours for creating a 10 item package that INCLUDES a personalized handwritten letter to Sgt. Carroll from YOU! • Don’t forget to Journal about it! • Make sure to get pictures of you writing your letter, packing & shipping your box to include in your journal! • Include a copy of your shipping receipt with your journal • DUE BY SEPTEMBER 30th! Get Hours!
