  2. Why? We decided that we wanted to relate our film to similar films that resemble similar target audiences and use similar storylines. One of these was Girl Interrupted. We all went home and watched the film featuring Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie.

  3. What? The baseline of the story portrays a young girl “Susanna” who travels from her home living with her parents to a mental health institute. Here she befriends a woman named Lisa who has been at the hospital for years. The story is based on Susanna’s 18 month stay at the hospital and who she befriends and her journeys as a woman and as a friend.

  4. The trailer The trailer shows the outline of the story and how the scene is set up. Again we took inspiration from the film and used the same setting of the mental hospital to base our characters. Trailer below http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BHHUBZf7y4

  5. Who? • Although we took inspiration from the main Character Susanna like her hidden naivety and her subtle nature we also took the rebellious trait from the supporting character Lisa. We wanted to portray the way she treated other characters and the way that she felt about herself. Lisa

  6. When? Girl interrupted was made in 1999, and was set in the 90s also. We know this as the characters undergo shock treatment to stop them being mentally ill. We set our piece in the 21st century to be able to incorporate comedy that our target audience would enjoy.
