ALCOBENDAS • A village in the north of Madrid. There are 13 km from Madrid and 7km from Barajas-International Airport • It is very well communicated • Its economy is based on the industrial sector and services • There are more than 900 companies of many different types: TIC, chemical, pharmaceutical, distribution, graphics arts...(Apple, Auna, Bankinter, Cisco Systems, Ikea, Carrefour, Alcampo, Mercedes ...)

Why are our learners disadvantaged, in such a rich place? • In our community higher, middle and lower income groups with very different social status live together • Obviously our learners are developing the lowest jobs, the worst paid jobs, temporary jobs. They are frequently exploited and they can´t choose since they need work because they belong to the lower income groups and have no qualifications.
How can we help them? • We provide education for those over 17 compatible with other activities like work or housework. • Presence learning with evening classes • Distance learning
We offer three lines • Secondary Studies (compulsory education) ESPA • Bachillerato (A´level: non compulsory) • Vocational Training (non compulsory)
Secondary Studies ESPA • For students who did not get any qualifications when they left their studies • They can choose distance or presence learning • Length: 1 year • Timetable: 18.00 - 22.30
With this qualifications learners can accede to • Secondary • Studies ESPA Bachillerato A´level Work Vocational Training Medium level
Bachillerato • For learners who are more than 17 and finished successfully ESPA • They can choose presence or distance learning • Length: usually two years. For students who attend evening classes the same subjects have been distributed in three years, since most of them work and study too • Timetable: 18.00 - 22.30

With these qualifications learners can have access to Bachillerato Work University Entrance Examination Vocational Training Upper level
Vocational Training, upper level • For learners who finished Bachillerato successfully • University Entrance Examination (Selectividad) is not necessary • 1 year + 6 month practice • Timetable: 15.00 - 21.00
Vocational Training: lines • Occupational Therapy (Social and Cultural Activities Co-ordinator): presence learning • Social Integration (Social Work): presence learning • Nursery Studies: presence and distance learning
With these qualifications learners can have access to Vocational Training Upper level Work University
We offer: Secondary Studies ESPA 2 year Bachillerato (A´level) 2 year Vocational Training: Nursery Studies 1 year + 6 month practices Attendance is not compulsory but is recommended Students can attend group lessons one per week and subject Teachers have two hours per week to guide and help their students individually: on the phone, e-mail, ordinary mail, fax or students can come to school Distance learning:
