  2. What is the Mastery Lab? • Reward • Enhancement • Incentive • Challenge

  3. Reward Students who score 90 or above on their subject test will have class time scheduled in the Mastery Lab.

  4. Enhancement to lessons in the classroom

  5. Incentive • make Mastery and get time in the Lab. • don’t make Mastery and stay in the classroom for reinstruction.

  6. Challenge • Students are exposed to many activities they might encounter in life.

  7. What do they do in the Mastery Lab? Short lesson based on their test • reinforce the classroom lesson, or • new material that’s not normally covered in class.

  8. What do they do after that lesson? • There are currently 6 computers for the students to access the internet. • There are 3 computers for studying the internal components of a computer. * Disassemble *Assemble

  9. Draw on the Smartboard • Draw on the Whiteboard

  10. Use the Microsoft Flight Simulator Click Here

  14. Experiments on construction of skyscrapers

  15. Studying the fish!

  16. 6thGrade Science Lesson on scientific method, using paper airplanes

  17. 7th graders using computers

  18. 8th graders at the keyboard.

  19. Flying on the flight simulator

  20. 6th graders working on computers.

  21. These are just some of the activities in the Mastery Lab. The imagination is the limit!!
