  3. 2014 CMS Reporting Requirements • PN-3b Blood culture performed before first antibiotic received in hospital End after Dec 2013 • PN-6 Appropriate initial antibiotic selection Ongoing • SCIP-Infection-10 Perioperative temperature management End after Dec 2013

NHSN Reporting • No change in CLABSI, CAUTI reporting for 2014. • Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infection Expand to include some non-ICU wards Jan 2015 • Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infection Expand to include some non-ICU wards Jan 2015 • No change SSI, Lab ID MRSA Bacteremia, C diff • Healthcare Worker Vaccination Changes • Personnel must be physically present in the healthcare facility for at least one working day (any # of hours) during the reporting period, which is October 1 through March 31.
