Breakfast Presenter: Amanda Brinkman, Allianz Ruth Hayden is a nationally recognized financial consultant, educator and author based out of St. Paul, Minnesota. Her "Women and Money" course inspired the book entitled How To Turn Your Money Life Around: The Money Book for Women, which was nominated for the 1993 Minnesota Book Award. She has been quoted in numerous national publications, including Washington Post, Washington Times, Money, Newsweek,Reader's Digest, Mademoiselle, Working Woman, Money Sense, New York Newsday, Ladies' Home Journal, Parents Magazine, Utne, Woman's World, Time, Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, Minneapolis Star and Tribune, Business Week, Forbes.com and Bankrate.com. She is a frequent guest and commentator on Public Radio. Amanda has built a notable career. She experienced success early in her career at agencies such as Cohn & Wolfe London, Campbell Mithun and Fallon. During her time on the agency side she worked with brands such as BMW, Reebok, H&R Block, Toro and Virgin Mobile. Amanda is now the VP of Branding and Creative Services at Allianz. She oversees the Brand, Advertising, Media, Meetings/Events, Interactive and Creative Services teams for North America. Her changes and influence were so effective in the first year that her team was awarded “Department of the Year” by Allianz in the fall of 2010. Amongst her awards and recognition, Amanda was named Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 2009 "Forty Under 40" and was featured on the cover of Minnesota Business in a feature on “The Next Generation of Minnesota Business Titans”. Each person is unique, with different perspectives, management styles, needs and expectations. In these differences are great strengths; yet many individuals can struggle in making the best of their differences to benefit themselves or on their job. In this workshop, participants will discover their preferred work style, how to appreciate individual differences and how to adapt one’s own behavior to interact more effectively with their team. • Navigating the Road Ahead: Assets, Time & Taxes – by Elizabeth Odegaard & Rachel Stullen of Thrivent Financial. Gain a better understanding of life events and their potential impact on financial success and how assets, time and taxes factor into retirement considerations.
