All about me By: Kendra Blair
Where am I from? • I grew up in Williamsport with my Mom and Step-Dad. We lived out in the country and I was always outside. I was always riding my four-wheeler with my friends that lived close by. We would go stop lighting every night during the summer and have camp fires. I loved growing up here. It was nice being away from town. I recently moved to Bellefonte, PA about a month ago. I’m still getting used to it but I like it so far.
Where I’ve gone to school • I first started going to school I went to South Williamsport school district in PA when I was five years old. I only stayed in the South Williamsport school district until the end of my 1st grade year. My Mom met my step Dad and we moved in with him. I then started 2nd grade in the Jersey Shore school district. I continued school at Jersey Shore and graduated in 2008. I played different sports throughout school. I really enjoyed soccer and softball.
College • Once I graduated from high school I went to Mansfield University for one year undecided. I then transferred to Pennsylvania College of Technology and studied Early Childhood Education. I graduated from Penn College in 2011 with an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I then transferred to Lock Haven University to finish my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I became very interested in individuals with Disabilities throughout my Special Education classes and changed my major to Learning Disabilities and Community Services. I’m now a senior and will be doing an internship and graduating next semester!

I grew up with my Mom and Step-Dad Nick until I moved in with my Dad and step-Mom Jamie in high school. Neither of them had any other children. On my mom’s side of the family I have one uncle and my grandfather and grandmother. My Mom, Uncle, and grandparents all live very close to one another. My Dad’s side is a lot bigger. I have two aunts and one uncle, grandfather, grandmother, and many cousins. A lot of my family on my Dad’s side lives out of state and I visit them as often as I can.
My Friends • I have a lot of close friends that mean a lot to me. I have some from high school and some from college. I try to spend as much time with my friends that I can. A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself. --Jim Morrison
Jake • I met my boyfriend Jake in 2006 and we have been together ever since. We lived together in Williamsport until we recently moved to Bellefonte just last month. We live in a tiny one bedroom apartment with our dog Lola and our cat Leonard.
hobbies • I really like to travel especially out of the country. Last year I went to Mexico with a class I was taking during the semester. We visited different villages throughout Mexico and went to a school. I got to see how the children over there learn and what their everyday lives are like. • I also enjoy being outside. Jake and I like to go for hikes and visit different state parks on the weekends
Pets • Jake and I have one dog and one cat Lola and Leonard. We want to have children someday but until then Lola and Leonard are our kids.
