Trust Awards • Don’t reinvent the wheel. • Find an application that you like and tailor it to your school. • We wanted it to be similar to a college application. • We also wanted the students to learn to write an essay similar to a college entrance essay. • A rubric was created to score essays. • Teachers volunteered their time to score the essays. • We awarded points to each requirement.

Celebration of Applicants • Honoring all 91 applicants • Applicants were invited to a formal luncheon. • Formal invitations were delivered personally. • Tables were set with linens and decorations. • Panel of former students at differing stages of their college career were invited to the luncheon. • Panelist told their story • Students were given the opportunity to ask questions.
