Initiative A: Applying FTA to Enable: Global to Local Preparedness and Impact Description: Inspire the FTA community to collaborate on a knowledge base that frames issues with both a global context and a local one for different countries. This could include clustered trends, spatial and temporal contexts, derivations from both logical and imaginative sources, weak and meso signals, all while retaining a focus on relationships and critical change drivers. Implementation Steps, Resources • Focus on the best new FTA tools available for Knowledge Management, eg. Also wiki, google map interfaces.

Initiative B: Wiki-Google Mapping and Knowledge Sharing Platform (KSP) Description: Create a knowledge sharing and mapping platform that involves people, tools-methods and issues-analysis, and can function as an early warning observatory, with both short and long term application. Implementation: • Request seminar attendees to submit contributions to a wiki and collaborate on a google map application for key FTA issues; • Develop FTA template for these with IPTS and CEC support; • Organize a dedicated period for collaborators to virtually meet and contribute; • Solicit mapping contributors and experts who can assist the FTA community, provide case materials for KSP:

Initiative C:Position FTA to Support Millennium Development Goals and FP 7 Demand-Opportunities • Description: Develop a 21st century Vision, access FP 7 and link to Millennium Project and Goals, through knowledge sharing. • Implementation Steps, Resources: UN system multi-country FTA, ollaboration with, e.g. UNESCO, Millennium Project,engage Davos, Kyoto, G8, D 77 etc.; quietly lobby CEC to advance awareness and get staff assignments; respond to calls for proposals via network of key volunteers • Success Measures: progress on Millennium goals, acceptance by global issues fora, publications and briefings for decision makers.
