Satire • Definition- A way of using humor to show that someone or something is foolish, weak, bad, etc. • Synonyms- mockery, ridicule, parody • Examples – Caricature of leaders, people, events, etc., This is just a funny way to make fun of someone you don’t like.
Anticlimax • Definition(s)- 1. A disappointing end to an exciting or impressive series of events • 2. a noticeable or ludicrous descent from lofty ideas or expressions to banalities or commonplace remarks • Synonyms- 1.letdown, disappointment, comedown • Examples- Something bad happening to a character. • Something not living up to something like sequels, etc.
