Biography • Michael Kenji Shinoda was born February 11, 1977 in Agoura Hills, California. • He started playing the Piano and Keyboard in middle school. • In high school, he met Brad Delson (Guitarist) and Rob Bourdon (Drummer). They formed the band Xero. • He graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. • In college, his band met Joseph Hahn (DJ/Turntablist), and David Farrell “Phoenix” (Bassist). • In March 1999, they found their lead singer Chester Bennington. • Once they had a full band, they changed their band name to, “Hybrid Theory”.
Bio Continued… • In the year 2000, they changed their name to “Linkin Park”, and named their first album “Hybrid Theory”. • In July of 2002, they released the album, “Reanimation”. • In March of 2003, they released the album, “Meteora”. • In late 2004, they made a remix album with “Jay-Z” called, “Collision Course”. • In May of 2007, they released the album, “Minutes to Midnight”. • In September 2010, they released the album, “A Thousand Suns”. • In the year 2010, they released a mobile device game called, “8-Bit Rebellion”. • In June of 2012, they released their latest album, “Living Things”.
