Marketing Committee Meeting - 23 19th March 2019
As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. • There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. • This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning pricing, rates, coverages, market practices or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. • Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds. AREA and McKinsey showcase - update • Still going ahead – looking for new date in 2019 • Target audience enterprise organisations focused on manufacturing (sourced by McKinsey) with the AREA providing the speakers and supplier / demonstrators. • Introduction from McKinsey - A welcome from our hosts and an overview of their offering in the AR manufacturing space. • Getting started in AR - An introduction to what it means to get started on the AR journey; challenges to anticipate, key use cases, case studies and benefits, potential rewards and opportunities, barriers to adoption. • Understanding the barriers to AR adoption - Overview into the barriers to AR adoption and how to overcome them. Social media update Organic Social Media: • Now posting news, blogs and events up to every 2 hours and at least 4 times per day on Facebook and LinkedIn • Activity on LinkedIn has increased significantly over the past few months with more people sharing our news on their own LinkedIn feeds – please keep this up! • Mentions of the AREA by others companies have increased on LinkedIn and Facebook. Twitter still gets events mentions but fewer from companies • Thank you to members who regularly and consistently promote our content • Steady but slow follower growth on all platforms. New accounts appearing on Twitter and Instagram frequently but tend to have developer or consumer focus • Remember to like our pages, follow, comment and share.
