Graduation Requirements • 4 credits of English • 4 credits of Math (must include Algebra II) • 3 credits of Science • 3 credits of History • 1/2 credit Phys.Ed. (or P.E. Waiver) • 1/2 credit Computer • 1/2 credit Health • 1/2 credit Fine Art (unless in a career tech program) and 1 semester Fine Art in Middle School (not listed on the transcript) • 4 credits of Electives • 20 Total credits required to graduate

Physical Education Waiver • During high school participate in interscholastic athletics, marching band, or cheerleading for two full seasons. • No grade or credit will be assigned. • Must earn .5 credits in an additional course in order to get the 20 required for graduation. • Waivers will not be issued for one season activity.-they will then be required to complete two semesters of PE. • Students must do the waiver or PE, not a combination. • Interested students MUST complete WAIVER FORM!
Sports Eligibility • Must maintain a gpa of 1.0 and pass 5 classes • (P.E. does not count) • It is your responsibility to check your schedule to ensure that you have enough courses to be eligible.
College Credit Plus • Obtaining both college credit and high school credit • There are many pros and cons with CC+ • Interested students and parents will attend a meeting held in December or January • Courses can be taken on college campus or at Tuslaw High School • Courses currently offered at Tuslaw High School: • Physics • English • American History I and II • Government (Political Science) • Psychology • Sociology • Speech

How students get into Career Tech? Apply Nov. of Sophomore year Admittance based on grades & attendance A minimum number of 8 credits are required by the end of sophomore year
What colleges are looking for: • Academic record-how diverse and how challenging are the courses • Grades-consistent performance or improvement • Class rank-top 25 %, top 50%? • Standardized test scores-highly selective school look at ACT score of 27 or higher or SAT I score of 1220 • Out of class activities-depth and diversity of involvement

This calculator will be used throughout high school.
