The Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Branch AIM To foster, maintain, and promote the well being of EME Branch individual members and the EME Branch as a whole To perpetuate and recognize the bonds of comradeship and esprit de corps within the EME Branch To encourage and support public interest in the EME Branch To assist in the preservation of the traditions, memorabilia and customs of the EME Branch - To enhance the operation of the EME Kit Shop for the betterment of all members of the Branch

  3. The Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Branch EME BRANCH FUND The main office is located in CFSEME HQ (A-72). The Fund is controlled by an Executive Board of Directors The Fund is administered by an Admin Committee

The Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Branch FOR ALL EME BRANCH MEMBERS Sponsors EME Branch Regional and Branch Advisor Awards Maintains EME Artifacts and Memorabilia Maintains the 50th Anniversary Monument and the RCEME Gates Maintains the EME Heritage Display Room (Regt Coy) Acknowledges Branch personnel at time of family member loss Supports other events/requirements that are in the best interest of the EME Branch as directed by the Board of Directors

The Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Branch BENEFITS TO BRANCH FUND MEMBERS Items issued (one time) free of charge EME accoutrements issued to DP1 students and Phase III Officers which include: EME DEU buttons EME DEU slip-ons $10.00 Gift Certificate to the EME Kit Shop Items issued annually free of charge • Annual EME Anniversary Button, value $2.00 • Annual EME Calendar, value $6.00

  8. The Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Branch BENEFITS TO BRANCH FUND MEMBERS Bursaries Rewarded annually (amount may vary) All members must be in good standing for at least 1 year Open to spouse and children Limit of a one-time award per applicant per lifetime

  9. The Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Branch BENEFITS TO BRANCH FUND MEMBERS Sports Awards Provide funding to Branch recognized sports activities (Curling, Golf and Hockey) Local activities will receive funding National activities (EME Golf and Hockey) receive funding as well

  10. The Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Branch BENEFITS TO BRANCH FUND MEMBERS Membership Reward Draws There are EIGHT draws conducted each year. Two names are drawn at each of the following activities a Curling Bonspiel (Feb/Mar), Bluebell conference (May), National Golf (Aug) and National Hockey (Dec). ALSO At the Bluebell Conference in May there is ONE lifetime membership is drawn

The Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Branch ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES Annual Pay Allotment Lt / 2Lt / MCpl / Cpl / Cfn$12.00 ($1.00 / Month) WO / Sgt $18.00 ($1.50 / Month) Capt / MWO $18.00 ($1.50 / Month) LCol / Maj / CWO $24.00 ($2.00 / Month) Gen / Col $36.00($3.00 / Month) If you decide to pay annually your dues must be paid by cheque or cash.

  13. The Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Branch LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP FEES $250.00 – if the individual is a NEW EME Branch Fund member $200.00 – if an individual has 5 or more years as a Branch Fund Member $100.00 – on Retirement Amounts are to be paid by cheque or cash

  15. The Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Branch EME GUILD • The Guild of the EME Branch Charitable Trust has been approved by Canadian Revenue Agency. The “EME Guild” provides the following benefits: • Charitable status and is able to give official tax receipts for donations (cash and material) • Support Scholarship/Bursary program • Raise money for the EME Heritage Project • Support restoration/repair of artifacts • Purchase artifacts The Guild is available to accept donations from everyone: military, civilian and corporate.
