Community Focused Workforce and Economic Development A major component of STCC and HCC role is to support the development of the region’s and state’s business and industry community through direct training service and through the production of graduates trained to meet the workforce requirements necessary for continued economic growth.

IT Workforce Development Strategies • Launch IT Training Collaborative • Increase Career Awareness Outreach • Develop Career Ladders for Hardware, Software, Networking • Build industry partnering for job experience and placement • Increase community college IT program enrollment and credentials awarded • Identify and Launch Pilot Industry Credential Training to support Manufacturing and Healthcare Sectors
