ICASA COUNCIL NOMINATIONS REFERRAL: - A letter dated, 20 April 2012 was received from the Minister of Communications, Ms Dina Pule:- informing the National Assembly that the terms of office of Mr Thabo Makhakhe, Ms NomvuyisoBatyi and Mr FungaiKhumbulaniSibanda, Councillors of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa ICASA), will expire on 9 July 2012, 3 August 2012 and 30 September 2012 respectively; and requesting the National Assembly to commence with the process of filling the vacancies in terms of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) Act, 2000 (Act No 13 of 2000). The matter was referred to the Committee for consideration and report on 16 May 2012.
