  1. New stuff we learned • When we bake bread at home in the USA we use our own gas or electric ovens. We were surprised to learn about community ovens (traditional ovens) and wondered how each family would be able to tell its own loaf of bread apart from the others. We used the internet to find out that each family has its own special pattern pressed into the loaf.
