Consolidation Project • Idea sprang from the Location Manager meeting this spring to meet following needs: • How can we have more efficient communication? • How can we ensure better utilization of inventory? • How can we better ensure the fries all taste the same? • After a few months of analysis it was determined to have 8 locations (versus current 15)
The Changes • Grand Rapids and Portage will combine into one Byron City center location (reporting into the Grand Rapids location until a new building is found, approximately 10/1). The General Manager (GM) for this location will be Victor Humphrey. • Mt. Pleasant and Marlette will combine into a Saginaw location (reporting into Marlette until a new building is found, approximately 10/1). The GM for this location will be Chris Blackburn. • Traverse City and Newberry will combine into a bigger Grayling site (reporting into current sites in Traverse City and Grayling until a bigger building is found in Grayling, approximately 10/1). The GM for this location will be Shane Mitchell.
So what does this mean? • Until further notice and we secure our new locations, keep reporting to this location • New locations likely won’t be ready until October 1st • If you have a different manager, that manager will reach out to you to welcome you to your new team • Make sure you ask questions if there are changes to your routes or schedule that are unexpected
So what’s next? • Last week you took a survey about health insurance… • Information and enrollment forms will be coming in late September • Labor to Labor Day promotion • We know schedules have been tough and we appreciate your dedication to providing Best in Class Service during this busy time. • Those who work now through Labor Day without a missed day will receive a 32” TV? • A less complicated pay structure • Details will be coming in a couple of weeks but suffice to say we understand that understanding how you are paid is… well… not understandable. We are working hard so you can better understand the rewards of your hard work. Understand?
