  3. Stratus Clouds Rain can fall from a Stratus cloud. The Stratus clouds are sometimes called ‘’high fogs’’. A Stratus cloud looks like a sheet across the sky.-Alexis

  4. Cumulus Clouds Cumulus clouds look like cauliflower, except Cumulus clouds have flat bottoms. Rain or snow can come from Cumulus clouds. Cumulus clouds can mix with other clouds to form the Cumulonimbus clouds.-Katie

  5. Clouds Water evaporates and forms a cloud. A cloud is made up of droplets of water.-Devon

  6. Clouds Little droplets of water rise and form clouds. A Stratus cloud is like a big gray blanket floating in the air. A Stratus cloud is only five thousand feet in the air.-Ty

  8. Lightning Lightning will usually strike high places and open spaces. Lightning can get to the heat of 54,000 degrees. That’s five times hotter than the sun. Now that’s hot!!! When you see a lightning bolt count how many seconds and stop when you hear thunder. That will tell you how far away the storm is. Now that’s cool!-Cameron

  10. Lightning During a thunderstorm you have to stay in your basement to be safe or go where there are no windows. Do not go outside when it is lightning. Lightning can kill people.-Sierra

  12. Meteorologist Meteorologists are people that study weather to keep people safe. An anemometer shows how fast the wind goes. The meteorologist often goes outside to check on the weather.-Dylan

  13. Seasons In the summer, it is June and hot. The air is cooler and it is September in the fall. In the winter, it snows and it is December. In the spring, it is April and it rains.-Randle

  15. Tornadoes Tornadoes can form from a thunderstorm. Tornadoes can kill people. May, June, and July are the worst months for Tornadoes. A stretch of land from Iowa to Texas is called tornado alley.-Skylyn

  16. Tornadoes Tornadoes are strong and they can destroy buildings. Tornadoes can hurt cars and people. A tornado can last for 10 to 20 minutes.-Sam

  17. Tornadoes A tornado can break houses into pieces. People can die in a tornado. It can damage one house and forget the next house.-Mikaylah

  18. Tornadoes Tornadoes are strong and powerful. The funnel of a tornado is usually dark gray or black. To stay safe, you need to turn on your radio or your TV to listen and remind you if there is a tornado that is coming. Tornadoes can break down your house.-Patrina

  24. Wind We can’t see wind, we can only see what it does to things. Wind can blow seeds somewhere else, making new plants grow. Wind can make energy.-Paige

  25. Wind Wind makes wind mills spin. Wind mills pump water which makes electricity. Wind makes leaves fall from the trees.-Hunter
