Crafts Fees $25 Cash or Check made out to Kleb Intermediate School DUE DATE: September 13, 2013 turn this money in ASAP • If fee is not paid by the time the first report card comes out, I will place a hold on your report cardandyou will not receive it. If your family is experiencing financial difficulties, please have your parent send a note to me explaining the situation.

  3. Behavior Expectations • You will work quietly and pay attention while I am speaking. • You will raise your hand to speak or ask a question. • You will have your supplies and artwork by the time the bell rings. • If you are not in classroom when bell rings, you will be tardy. • You will respect the artwork and supplies of your classmates. • You will replace all permanent classroom supplies that you have borrowed. (Example: books, rulers, scissors, etc.)

  4. Restroom Privileges You will be issued 2 bathroom passes for every six weeks. You may use these when necessary, but when you run out, you will be unable to leave the classroom to use the restroom except in case of an emergency. To avoid this, please make sure you take care of any restroom needs before you enter the classroom. This includes getting a drink of water.

  5. 1st Day Paperwork ALL PAPERWORK DUE BACK THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 30th THIS IS FOR A GRADE. • Crafts Information Sheet • Crafts Supply Card ALL PAPERWORK MUST BE SIGNED BY YOUR PARENTS

Grades 60% Major Grades 40% Minor Grades Grades are: Completion (if you fully did the assignment and turned it in) Quality & Effort-based (How the project looks & how much work you did) Examples of Major Grades: Major Project Project Progress Check Test Examples of Minor Grades: Sketch Supplies Check Notes FAILURE PROCEDURES IT IS POSSIBLE TO FAIL CRAFTS! This occurs when you don’t turn in an assignment, fail to fully complete an assignment or refuse to do your best on any assignment. If you are failing the six weeks, I WILL CONTACT YOUR PARENTS

Make-up work for a grade below a 70 Major Projects: If you fail a major project – your grade was below a 70 - then you will have a maximum of THREE (3) days to improve upon the assignment or turn it in for a max grade of 85. Assignment is due during your class of third day.(THIS INCLUDES WEEKENDS – Wednesday, Thursday & Friday failures are due on Monday – during your class) Minor Grades: If you fail a minor grade – your grade was below a 70 - then you will have a maximum of TWO (2) days to improve upon the assignment or turn it in for a max grade of 85. Assignment is due during your class of second day.(THIS INCLUDES WEEKENDS – Thursday & Friday failures are due on Monday – during your class) Tests & Quizes: If you fail a test or quiz – your grade was below a 70 - then you will have a maximum of TWO (2) days to retest. YOU MUST COME IN DURING THE MORNING OF ONE OF THE TWO RETEST DAYS FOR REVIEW. (Not including weekends) For both major & minor grades, I may decide to assign an alternate assignment instead of the original assignment – I will let you know when I give you your grade.

  8. EVERYDAY, you will need: • Pencil • Folder • Crafts Supply Card I will take a random grade every six weeks to see if you have brought these items to class. Your grade will be as follows: Nothing: 0 1 item: 33 2 items: 66 All items: 100

  9. Crafts Supply Card I am going to give you an index card on which you will write your NAME & CLASS PERIOD on BOTH SIDES. You will now draw on & decorate this card – have it reflect your personality. When you are finished, you will give it to me and I will laminate it. This will be your crafts supply card for the year. You will bring it to class everyday. When you need to check out a supply, such as a book or one of my supplies, you will hand me your card. When you return the supply, you will receive your card back. If I do not receive my supply back, you will be responsible for the cost of the item. Keep your art supply card in your folder once I laminate it.
