  2. Web Browser and various types of web browsers • Web Browser is a software application that retrieves, showcase and pass formation data on the WWW(World Wide Web)through a web page. • Various types of web browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari.

  3. Downloading • Downloading is when data is transferred from any remote system such as a web browser, FTP server, or email server to start such a data transfer to your computer which is the local system. • FTP (File transfer protocol) is used to send and receive files on the internet via servers.

  4. Uploading • Uploading is the transferring of files from our everyday computers to other computer systems, usually bigger. For example: Facebook, Instagram etc. • Many people get confused with the meanings of uploading and downloading but in short, uploading means sending files while downloading means receiving files.

  5. URL • URL is known as the uniform resource locotor. Its main job is to identify the internet source and will connect the user to the network source based on the syntax of the URL.
