  2. Sito archeologico di…ALBA FUCENS Città romana risalente al 300 a.C. con una posizione strategica per il controllo dell’Italia centrale. Si affacciava sul lago del Fucino, ora bonificato. Secondo alcune stime la popolazione al tempo dei romani risaliva a più di 30.000 abitanti. Le rovine riportate alla luce dagli scavi sono solo la parte del centro abitato di Alba Fucens.
