  2. God Cares About You! • He Created You and Sustains You • (Acts 17:26-28; Gen. 1:26-28)

Acts 17:26-28 “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’”

Genesis 1:26-28 “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’ 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’”

  6. Acts 14:17 “Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”

  7. Psalm 145:15-16 “The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season. 16 You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.”

Genesis 2:17; 3:15 (2:17), “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (3:15), “And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

  10. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

  11. Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

  12. 1 John 4:10 “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

  13. We should care about God! • Because He rewards faithful living • Hebrews 11:6; Acts 17:30-31

Acts 17:30-31 “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

  16. We should care about God! • Because He rewards faithful living • Hebrews 11:6; Acts 17:30-31 • Repent, because Judgment is coming! • Hebrews 10:31; 12:25,29

  17. Hebrews 10:31 “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

  18. Hebrews 12:25,29 (vs. 25), “See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven” (vs. 29), “For our God is a consuming fire.”

  19. We should care about God! • Because He rewards faithful living • Hebrews 11:6; Acts 17:30-31 • Repent, because Judgment is coming! • Hebrews 10:31; 12:25,29 • Because God is Good! • Romans 2:2-6; 11:22

Romans 2:2-6 “But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. 3 And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? 4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? 5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who ‘will render to each one according to his deeds.’”

  21. Romans 11:22 “Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.”

  22. Conclusion God loves you and cares for you, but your eternal destiny is dependent upon your caring for God Do you care for God?
