The Basics cont... • Collaboration between Wake Tech, Wake County Public Schools and Wake County Commissioners • May accept rising seniors if we have approximately 30. We will not recruit rising seniors. • Students must apply to a specific program • Students must have met promotion requirements • World Language (Spanish)

Academic Program Vision • Deliberate collaboration protocol between WTCC/ WCPSS teachers to make sure that the academic program is taught through a CTE lens • Softand employability skills • Project Based Learning • Flexible schedule to create integration • Design thinking
Type of Student • understand value of core academics as part of program • criteria - last 2 report cards/ grades, GPA (3.0 GPA/ CCP), EOG/ C scores, behavior referrals (principal rec) • Passion for the program • underrepresented students/ diversity/ including gender

CTE High School Pre- Application •1st generation college – 50% •Essay •Report Cards/EOG’s & EOC’s •College & Career Promise 3.0 GPA (principals can override) •Underrepresented populations for programs – gender •Reach out to middle schools for student names
