ETH Library • Function - Main library of the ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich) - Swiss national centre for scientific and technical information • Collection - 5.6 million items - over 6400 journals online full-text - 180 multidisciplinary, bibliographic databases - over 2500 e-books

  4. Web Portal: Goals • Possibility to present content from different resources in logical „channels“ (content-aggregation) • Possibility to configure the portal according to personal requirements (customization) • Possibility to present content for specific groups

  5. MyLibrary: Goals • Personalised portal page for ETH Library • Possibility to include external Internet resources • Support research and tuition at ETH Zurich • Realisation of a first version by the end of 2003 • Scientists obtain a new tool for the management of all information resources
