Listserv, Mail Group • Better listservs are monitored • Monitors can send announcements and information quickly to the whole list • Communication that allows members the opportunity to consult a large number of people at the same time • Everyone receives every message • Your submission goes to all members via e-mail-- “Pushed” • Topics can be monitor or member generated
How to Use a Listserv • Two Different Addresses LISTSERV Address: This is where you send requests to subscribe or un-subscribe LIST Address: Ask or Answer a question: will be sent to all members via e-mail
