6. Romans 8: 31-39 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be[a] against us? 32  He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34  Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised— who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.[b]35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Answer: Chapter 8 of Romans • v-1: Those who are justified by faith alone are not condemned. • v-3: God sent His son to condemn sin in the flesh. • v-12-14: Those indwelt by God’s Spirit can look forward to a bodily resurrection, this present suffering is temporary and should be endured patiently, viewed as birth pangs to the resurrection. • v-16-17: The Spirit witnesses with our spirits to our adoption and inheritance. • v-28-30: We are surrounded by a comprehensive providence that ensures the achievement of God’s final purpose, which is our conformity to Christ.

In conclusion Octavius Winslow said ”…the eye of faith, by ‘looking unto Jesus’ only gradually becomes stronger; and in proportion to its clear and still clearer view of Christ, brings increased sweet and holy assurance to the soul. One simple believing sight of Christ will produce more light and peace and joy than a lifetime of looking within ourselves for evidence and signs of grace. John 15:13-15: Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.
