  6. Considerations and Tips • 1. Brainstorm and use lots of “post its” • 2. What may represent strengths with respect to one perspective may be weaknesses for another perspective. • 3. The initial SPOT exercise results in lists. Uncritical and without clear prioritization. • 4. SPOTs are sometimes confused with possible strategies. SPOTs are descriptions of conditions, while possible strategies define actions.

  7. Your Turn • Break into groups. (4-8 persons per group) • Brainstorm internal factors: strengths and problems (weaknesses) • Brainstorm external factors: threats (challenges) and opportunities • Select a volunteer leader. Report back results to entire group.
