Goals • Maintain critical and essential campus services • Minimize negative consequences for members of the university community
Key Components • Identify the critical and essential personnel, operations and services that are key to the university’s mission • Create specific plans for maintenance of these services
Key Components, continued • Coordinate the university’s response to pandemic influenza through mobilization of the existing campus Emergency Operations Center • Provide accurate and timely information to the university community regarding the campus response
Key Componets, continued • Implement a system of surveillance and investigation to ensure rapid identification of illness and reduce disease transmission • Develop and implement recommendations for international travel • Participate in state and local plans for vaccine distribution based on established priorities
Key Components, continued • Utilize available resources to meet the outpatient health care needs of students • Meet other needs of students living on campus (housing, food, etc) • Coordinate influenza response efforts with relevant external partners, including health departments, emergency management, health care providers, and others
