  4. Statistics • From 2009 to 2011 Clark County has seen a 40% increase in unsheltered homelessness in the streets • Yearly, more than 43,000 citizens experience homelessness in our community • 16.2% or more than 300,000 people are food insecure in Southern Nevada

  5. Campbell’s Lets Can Hunger Challenge • Raise hunger and homeless awareness • Raise 25,000 lbs. of non-perishables • Break the cycle of hunger

  7. Clash of the Cans Rules • The schools who raise the most non-perishables and/or monetary donations wins. • 1 lbs. = $1 • Feb 13th to March 1st

  9. What happens to the food? Catholic Charities • All food and donations raised go to Catholic Charities to help fill their food pantry • Catholic Charities feeds homeless and needy men, women, and children nutritious meals in a clean and safe environment every day of the year
