As well as the joy he takes from helping others through medicine and surgery, he has also been a part of pioneering new technology in his field. Among these triumphs is his efforts in the 80s in launching the use of lasers in tonsillectomies; work that was reported in newspapers and magazines. It is due to medical professionals like Dr Tkalych that medical practice keeps improving.

George Tkalych Flying High George Tkalych has had a varied and successful life. As well as a long career as an ENT (ears, nose and throat) Surgeon, he has also gained an array of other skills. Chiefly among these skills is the retired medical professional’s flying experience. As an experienced pilot, Dr Tkalych has logged 4500 hours flying across the United States and Canada, as well as off the coast to many Islands like Bermuda and the Virgin Islands.
George Tkalych A Fishing Family George Tkalych has fished since he was a young man, and it became an important part of his family life. Dr Tkalych’s fishing passion started when he worked as an Assistant Biologist for the Department of Natural Resources, studying the Great Lakes. Now retired, fishing has become an important part of the relationship he has with his son. The two go out fishing together as often as they can; a tradition that could continue through the generations.
