  2. Hadean Eon: 4.5 to 3.8 bya - Meteorites. - No Life Archaean Eon: 3.8 to 2.5 bya - Rocks and continental plates beginning to form - Stromatolites Proterozoic Eon: 2.5 bya to 543 mya Oxygen build up, microscopic one-celled organisms appear Precambrian Time: 90% of Earth’s History Cyanobacteria

  3. Paleozoic Era: 543 to 248 mya All Life in the ocean First vertebrates, reptiles, ferns, insects. Mesozoic Era: 248 to 65 mya – Small mammals, birds, flowering plants, dinosaurs Mass extinction! Cenozoic Era: 65 mya to present – all modern animals, human beings Phanerozoic Eon : (543 mya to present)
