Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib - The Leader of Islam • We send our congratulations to Imam Muhammed AlMahdi (AS), our holy Ulama, and the Muslim World on the birth anniversary of the Commander of faithful, the vicegerent of AlMighty Allah, the first imam, the brother of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH), the door to the city of knowledge of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH), and the one and only born in Ka'ba,

  3. Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib - The Leader of Islam •  Who was born on the 13th of Rajab, After the birth of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) by 30 years (600 A.D)

  4. Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib - The Leader of Islam • 'Ali b. Abi Talib (A.S.) is the first Imam of the Muslims. He was appointed as the leader of the Islamic world on the day of Ghadeer. He became the ruler of the Muslims just after the death of the Holy Prophet (S). His life could be divided as such:

  5. امام على:سبب السيادة السخاء The reason of leadership is generosity. Imam Ali (a.s) [Al-Amidi, Ghurar ul-Hikam wa Durar ul-Kalim, hadith # 5523]

  6. Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib - The Leader of Islam • 1. From the birth of 'Ali (AS) to the appointment of Rasul Allah to his prophetic mission. • From the appointment of Rasul Allah to his Hijrah (emigration from Makkah to Madinah) • From the Hijrah of Rasul Allah to his death. • From the death of Prophet (S) to caliphate of Ali (AS) • From the caliphate of Ali (AS) to his martyrdom.

  7. امام على : سبب الفجور الخلوة The reason of sinfulness and impiety is oneliness. Imam Ali (a.s) [Al-Amidi, Ghurar ul-Hikam wa Durar ul-Kalim, hadith # 5533]

  8. From the birth of 'Ali (AS) to the appointment of Rasul Allah to his prophetic mission. • 1. His Holiness Imam Ali was born 10 years before the appointment of Mohammad (S) to the Prophethood.He opened his eyes to the world around him in the Kabah in the 30th year of the elephant or 600 A.D. He was only a 5 year old child when the Prophet (S) brought him home and took responsibility for his training. Ali (AS) was with the Prophet (S) from his early childhood years and they performed their religious services like the daily prayers side by side.

  9. From the appointment of Rasul Allah to his Hijrah (emigration from Makkah to Madinah) • 2. Ali (AS) was the first person who believed in the Prophet's mission and lived with him in Makkah for about 13 years. He wrote God's voice, meaning he wrote the revelation of God uttered by the Holy Prophet (S). On the night the Prophet intended to emigrate to the city of Madinah, 'Ali (AS) slept in the bed of the Prophet whose life was actually at stake. This action proved his faith.

  10. From the Hijrah of Rasul Allah to his death. • 3. Ali (AS) accompanied the Prophet (S) and his household in all the battles except the Battle of Tabuk, at the time of which he was ordered by the Prophet (S) to remain in Madinah. The army of the Muslims constantly defeated that of the infidels due to the bravery and devotion of his Holiness 'Ali (AS).

  11. From the caliphate of Ali (AS) to his martyrdom. • 4. His glorious and gloomy silence lasted for 25 years.Although he protested against the ruling government of the time that had usurped his own right, he did not give up cooperation in propagating the message of Islam and its concerned legislation.

  12. امام على : سبب صلاح النفس الوراع The reason of betterment of soul is self-control. Imam Ali (a.s) [Al-Amidi, Ghurar ul-Hikam wa Durar ul-Kalim, hadith # 5547]
