Mattel Headquarters Mattel’s first headquarters were in a a small garage shop in Southern California, in the year 1945. In 1948, headquarters is moved to Hawthorne, California. However, its base headquarters are now located in El Segundo, California.
Spain • Germany • Poland • Brazil Mattel International Headquarters Mattel is an international brand, and has several headquarters in many countries, such as: Australia Canada France Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium Mattel Operations Asia Mattel Shenshen China Mexico Italy UK and Eastern Europe
Mattel Production Sites Mattel has many production sites all over the world. Production sites in Bangkok and Shanghai are under the jurisdiction of Tyco, and tha manufacturing of Matchbox toys are split between the two factories. Mattel’s products are currently produced in China, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Mexico
Mattel’s Main Factory Mattel’s Main factory is in Indonesia. From there it exports all over the world, to branches in North and South America, Europe, the Asia Pacific.
The Use of Technology To sell their products Mattel uses online shops where you can order their products and tell them to ship it to your home, they also have a physical copy of their products, which are in magazines and catalogues. Mattel also uses TV commercials, which shows kids how the toy works with music and color. Online game sites are also used, where they advertise new Barbie’s, Barbie movies and have Barbie games for kids.
Why is Mattel successful? One reason why Mattel is so successful, is because they are one of the oldest pioneers in the toy industry. Because of this, they have a certain prestige and respect by other companies and customers alike. Mattel has created many successful toy brands, such as Barbie and Hot Wheels, which have taken the world by storm, the toys they make being loved by boys and girls alike. Mattel also tends to follow trends, which has helped them stay successful for so long. Mattel also has many ties with other companies, such as Bandai and Fisher-price. Through these companies, they can continue to strategic alliances with other companies as well. Mattel’s toys are creative and innovative, attracting customers of all ethnicities.
