List of events for RICs in RA VI Traceability dissemination: • RIC Ljubljana provided traceability of reference standards for temperature (1) and pressure (3) for Serbian NHMS in March 2012. Also metrological training including calibration procedures and uncertainty evaluation for basic meteorological parameters was conducted during the visit. • Traceability of Bulgarian NHMS temperature standards (3) was provided in November 2012by RIC Ljubljana. A three days metrological training for basic meteorological parameters was also conducted for Bulgarian colleagues. • RIC Bratislava prepared lectures on the calibration methods and their practical performance for Oman delegation and expected Kazakhstan delegation. • At the moment there is no available information of Meteo France RIC activities.
List of events for RICs in RA VI • RIC Ljubljana is involved in the project "Building resilience To Disasters in the Western Balkans and Turkey" in activity “Assistance and calibration and maintenance of hydro-meteorological instruments” for following beneficiary countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Role of RIC is to provide traceability of transfer standards used for on-site instrument test/calibration. • RICs Ljubljana is involved in activities of Meteomet project in WP3 - Traceable measurement methods and protocols for ground based meteorologicalobservations: Task 3.1: Definition of state of art in European countries ofweather stations performance, use, calibration and traceability Task 3.6: Protocols for quality assessment of ground-basedmeasurement and software validation of in situ weather stations • Due to some stability issues of transfer standards interlaboratory comparsion will start in 2013.
Interlaboratory comparison • Round-robin intercomparison (ILC) protocol is completed. • Due to stability issues we decided to purchase new transfer standards for humidity and air pressure. • The invitation letter will be send out (preferable together with measurement and calibration capability questionnaire) in the first half of 2013. • The kit consists of capacitive hygrometer HMP155, barometer PTB220 and three thermometers (waterproof 4 wired Pt100, non-waterproof 4 wired Pt100 and thermometer with display).
Activities in 2013 and future work • Survey on current measurement and calibration capabilities in RAVI • Interlaboratory comparison • RICs cooperation in MeteoMet 2 proposal (from meteorological sensors calibrations uncertainties to the evaluation of measurements uncertainties; proposals of possible reference installations with fully defined traceability and measurement uncertainty budget…) • Focus on measurement uncertainty of on-site measured data.
