Choose two of these images that you find most interesting and…. • Log on to Ucompass (http://henryford.ucompass.com/) and create a post on our class discussion board. In this post, you should compare and contrast your own personal experience with the families in the two images you chose. Can you relate/not relate to their situation? Is there anything familiar/unfamiliar to you about the images? IN ADDITION to posting your own discussion, please also reply to one of your classmate’s posts. Remember to be thoughtful and offer constructive comments. • Download and print the blank Venn Diagram that has been uploaded onto Ucompass (under the “course materials” link). Like we did today, you will be comparing and contrasting the two images you chose, and you bring this completed Venn Diagram to our next class, ready to write about your findings. Think critically about what you see in your images, and about the role that food plays in reflecting the larger social issues that these families may be facing.
