Five Tasks for Preparing an Implementation Strategy • Parties: Identify parties and define responsibilities • Partners: Confirm partners (technical and financial) • Resources: Identify resources to implement the actions • Materials: List materials needed • Schedule: Define the time frame for implementing the actions Session 32
Parties: Identify parties and define responsibilities • Process: Define the roles of the lead and support agencies and/or organizations – work with county/city manager or Mayor/County Executive to determine lead and support agencies. • Result: Identification of lead and support agencies and organizations, and a listing of their roles and responsibilities. Session 32
Partners: Confirm partners (technical and financial) • Process: Contact technical and financial partners necessary for implementation • Result: Confirmed commitments from agencies and organizations that will perform specific tasks Session 32
Resources: Identify Resources to implement actions • Process: Prepare a budget and consult various resources to identify funding and technical assistance • Result: Development of a budget, broken out by task, to implement the action and a listing of funding and technical assistance sources Session 32
Materials: List materials needed • Process: Develop a list of all materials necessary for implementation such as equipment, supplies and vehicles • Result: A listing of necessary materials that are available and those that must be purchased to implement the actions Session 32
Schedule: Define the time frame for implementing the actions • Process: Discuss the time frame for carrying out each action • Result: An agreed upon time frame for carrying out the actions Session 32
Implementation Plan Time Frameshould detail: • When the action will be started; • When interim steps will be completed; • When the action should be fully implemented. Session 32
