  3. “Regional Workshop on Monitoring SHS ExposureKobe, Japan, July 13-19, 2009 Objectives Participating countries Bangladesh China India Indonesia Korea Philippines Thailand Vietnam • Review and assess existing SHS data; • Train participants in best-practice SHS monitoring procedures and adopt associated protocols; • Develop Plans of Action for monitoring exposure to SHS in selected public places; and, • Develop a process for producing a Monograph based on the results of the monitoring studies.
