DFRC Inter-Organization Process Panel (IPP): Panel Objectives: This panel is created to support the implementation, communication, execution and continual improvement of the Dryden Management System. Secondary objectives are to: 1) ensure alignment with Agency policy and Guidance, 2) ensure that Agency initiatives and special focus activities are implemented in a well-integrated manner,3) review and assess organization changes and transition plans to foster likelihood of success, and 4) ensure that Center policies and processes enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Dryden’s business and technical operations. http://standards.nasa.gov
DFRC Inter-Organization Process Panel (IPP) (Cont’d): Membership: Each single letter code is required to provide at least one representative, … to be appointed by the manager of that organization …The chairs or leads of Agency initiative implementation groups, Agency working group members, …are also members, by virtue of their task. http://standards.nasa.gov
Process for Dryden Review of Proposed NASA Technical Standards: DFRC’s NTSWG member receives a request for the Center to review a proposed standard. The NTSWG member submits the standard to the NTSWG support contractor, AS&M, who performs a preliminary assessment to determine its relevance to DFRC. AS&M presents the standard to the affected DFRC branches for evaluation and coordinates the comments. AS&M provides the comments to the NTSWG member. The NTSWG member sends an email to DFRC's IPP Chair that includes the following information: Action item number from the NTSWG if applicable Review due date Title of the Standard and web link Coordinated comments from the DFRC branch reviews http://standards.nasa.gov
Process for Dryden Review of Proposed NASA Technical Standards (cont’d): DFRC's IPP Chair receives the email and logs it into the IPP tracking system. IPP Chair then forwards the email to the IPP Members. The IPP Members respond to the IPP Chair electronically. Depending upon the comments, the IPP Chair either drafts a memo with the comments and consensus of the IPP Members, or if warranted, the IPP Chair adds the discussion of the Standard to an IPP agenda. Subsequently, the Chair drafts a memo and sends it to DFRC's NTSWG member. As appropriate, NTSWG member receives DFRC EMB concurrence and responds to the NTSWG with DFRC comments. http://standards.nasa.gov
